More Information

Day one starts by identifying the role and responsibilities of a manager and explores the common problems faced when moving into a management role. Self-management principles are reviewed to ensure delegates can be effective managers.

Throughout the three days, specially designed self-assessments are used backed with skill building exercises to encourage delegates to develop their full potential. The programme also provides ample opportunities for the exploration of individual issues, with additional individual coaching from the tutor as required.

The key skills of managing a team of people are then covered in a systematic way. These include work allocation and delegation, motivation, giving feedback, counseling, problem solving, developing staff, effective meetings and performance reviews. Clear guidelines are provided on each topic and exercises, case studies, role play, group discussions and tutor feedback used to ensure the essential skills are practiced and developed. Self-assessment tools are used to help delegates relate the training points to their own management situation and throughout the programme delegates are encouraged to identify specific actions that they will implement on their return to work.

In summary, this is a great way to invest in the future success of your maangers. Our supportive and highly experienced tutors will give your managers the confidence to step up to the role and provide them with the essential tools to succeed.
