Four NEW Courses for 2010...

In response to our clients' requests we have introduced four new one day courses into our 2010 open course schedule.

Planning Skills Workshop - This workshop is the ideal way to learn and practise the skills of good planning and is a 'must' for all managers, supervisors, team leaders and shift leaders.

Presentation Skills Workshop - This workshop is designed for those who want to improve their ability to present to groups. Focusing primarily on the way you present rather than on how to create a presentation, this fun and participative workshop will provide a wealth of tips and development ideas that will make you a better presenter.

Project Management Workshop - This workshop is designed for those who have to support, participate in, or run projects. It has been designed to give a fast track introduction to the skills and techniques needed and will help you to add more value to your role.

The Basics of Finance - This workshop the perfect course for those who do not manage budgets but want to be more confident in situations - such as meetings - where finance is discussed. On this fun but practical course you will gain an understanding of basic concepts of business finance: the jargon will be untangled, the concepts clearly explained and your questions answered.

Each year, the Great Place to Work Institute produces Best Companies to Work For lists, representing workplaces in 40 countries around the world. Each list highlights companies with the best workplaces in a specific country or region of the world.

We would like to congratulate Danone Ltd, who were awarded first place in the UK's Best Workplaces ranking for 2009 at the awards ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

So what was it that made Danone stand out? Top of the list was the fact that this company commits to investing in its employees on-going development - providing 37 hours' training per employee.

Given this, we are not surprised that they have come out at number 1!

Spearhead Training have linked up with two organisations: Decipher UK Ltd and Grant Solutions to help you access funding for your Spearhead Course.

Both organisations specialise in working with regional grant providers, such as “Train to Gain” to administer grants currently available for Small and Medium sized businesses. Firstly, after your course you will be given acess to our post course helpline (staffed by real tutors). You can call the helpline as many times as you like after your training course and get on-going help and advice on implementing the skills you have just developed, there is no time limit.

Secondly, you will also be given a Learning for Life training voucher. This voucher can be used as part payment towards one-to-one coaching with a Spearhead tutor. Your voucher will be valid for a full 12 months.
