Your coach should help you to see your own behaviour and work environment in a different perspective, which should enable you to become more creative and tackle problems with more innovative ideas.

This process can be interpreted as helping you to help yourself.

You will be made aware of your blind sides, which prevent you from recognising problems and taking the necessary decisions. Use a coach if you have to broach a new subject area. During your coaching sessions you not only learn something about yourself in order to be able to analyse problems and make decisions in a more competent manner - you also learn about the consulting process. This way, you will be able to take on the role of coach at some point in the future.

You can also receive coaching internally within your company by a mentor who can help you to overcome challenges. You can also become a mentor to others in your organisation in order to help them. To develop you coaching and mentoring skills further you can also attend a management training course.
